About us

1992

Founding of the KOLEN Company

KOLEN was founded, establishing the cornerstone of our mission to deliver specialized solutions for the railway power industry.

1995–1998

Technological Development

We began operations by launching our first products: the unidirectional arresters TZD-1N and TZD-1R, as well as the TCK cable continuity tester. This marked our initial step toward building a comprehensive product range.

1999–2001

Introduction of the First TOP and IMR

A period of technological breakthrough, during which we created the first TOP thyristor surge arrester, the IMR impulse resistance meter, and the TZD-2NR bidirectional arrester, solidifying our position as an innovator.

2003–2005

Portfolio Expansion

We enhanced our product portfolio by introducing new, improved versions of our devices, including the IMR-4 and TCK-2. This demonstrated our commitment to continuous development and meeting market needs.

2007–2010

Introduction of the TWS Tester and Bidirectional Arrester

We expanded our product range with the TWS quick switch tester and developed the first TZD-1NR bidirectional arrester, including a specialized variant for tram networks.

2014

New Device for Fault Loop Measurement and Rectifier Monitor

We advanced into the realm of sophisticated diagnostic and monitoring systems. We created the RPZ device for fault loop measurements and the V3 rectifier monitoring controller.

2017–2023

Trade Fairs and New Generations of Devices

A period of intense technological growth and industry presence. We launched new generations of devices (including the IMR-5 and IMR-6) and safety testers (TZZ, TPN-200), while showcasing our innovations at prestigious trade fairs such as TRAKO and INNOTRANS.

2024–2025

Participation in Key Industry Events

Our continuous pursuit of excellence: we introduced an upgraded version of the TOP-4L arrester and reaffirmed our leadership position through active participation in key industry events like the JURATA 2023 conference and TRAKO 2025 trade fair.
